A supportive and expanding firm in the South West is looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Assistant to their growing team. With a strong reputation in the region, they provide a high-quality, hands-on service to a broad client base including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
This role is ideal for someone with around 18 months of UK accountancy practice experience who enjoys variety and working in a team-focused, office-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Assisting with basic personal tax returns
- Bookkeeping and preparation of VAT returns
- Regular liaison with clients to support their accounting needs
- Collaborative working in a fully office-based team environment
Candidate Profile
- 2+ years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice
- A strong all-rounder with a solid foundation in accounts preparation and bookkeeping
- Keen to develop within practice – whether steadily or with career progression in mind
- Comfortable communicating with clients and supporting them professionally
- A team player who enjoys working closely with colleagues in a collaborative setting
