I am currently working with a growing and friendly independent accountancy practice in Frome who are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their team.

The Role

You will be joining a close-knit team, supporting a varied portfolio of clients. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with prior practice experience who is confident managing their own workload.

Responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies

• Bookkeeping and VAT returns

• Supporting senior team members with year-end accounts

• Liaising with clients and responding to queries

• General accounts and compliance work

The Ideal Candidate

• Ideally AAT Level 4 qualified (or equivalent)

• 2–3 years’ experience within accountancy practice preferred

• QBE candidates with strong experience will also be considered

• Comfortable working in an office-based environment

• Organised, proactive and team-oriented
