Overview
A well-established and growing accountancy practice in Bideford is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to take on more responsibility, manage a varied portfolio, and progress within a supportive and forward-thinking firm.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.

Produce management accounts, forecasts, and financial reports.

Complete and review VAT returns and bookkeeping assignments.

Assist with corporation tax computations and liaise with HMRC.

Support, mentor, and review work for junior team members.

Manage your own client portfolio and ensure compliance deadlines are met.

Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing high-quality service.

Work closely with Managers and Partners on more complex and advisory work.
About You
-
Experience within a UK accountancy practice is essential.

Strong technical background in accounts preparation and VAT.
-
Confident managing your own workload and working independently.
-
AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA part-qualified or qualified, or QBE all considered.

Proficient with cloud accounting software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks).
-
Excellent communication skills with a strong client-service approach.
