Accounts Senior
Location: Salisbury
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join a busy and supportive accountancy practice in Salisbury. This is a varied, hands-on role covering accounts preparation, client interaction, and tax support within a friendly and collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of accounts from basic bookkeeping through to finalised accounts
- Managing a portfolio of clients and acting as a key point of contact
- Handling day-to-day client queries and phone calls
- Supporting with tax queries and basic tax compliance work
- Using accounting software (e.g. Xero) for bookkeeping and accounts preparation
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and within deadlines
About You
- Strong experience in accounts preparation within practice
- Confident dealing with clients directly
- Broad, all-round experience across accounts and tax
- Experience using Xero (or similar accounting software)
- A proactive and organised approach
- Ideally part-qualified or qualified (AAT/ACCA/ACA) or qualified by experience
