Client Manager / Accounts Senior

Location: Dorset – Poole
Salary: £35,000–£55,000 depending on experience
Job Type: Full-time, permanent

The Opportunity

An established accountancy practice in Dorset is looking to recruit an Accounts Senior or Client Manager to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous accountancy practice experience who is looking to take the next step in their career, develop client relationships and take greater responsibility for a varied portfolio of clients.

The level of the role will depend on the successful candidate’s experience, with opportunities for both experienced Accounts Seniors looking to progress and established Client Managers seeking their next challenge.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients.

• Preparing and reviewing corporation tax and personal tax returns.

• Managing client relationships and acting as a key point of contact.

• Providing support and advice to owner-managed businesses and SMEs.

• Reviewing bookkeeping, VAT returns and management accounts where required.

• Managing deadlines and ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently.

• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team.

• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and deliver additional value to clients.

About You

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.

• Experience preparing accounts and tax returns for a varied client base.

• Strong communication and client relationship skills.

• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines.

• AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA part-qualified or fully qualified, depending on experience.

• Confident working independently while contributing to a supportive team environment.
