I am delighted to be working with a progressive and forward-thinking independent accountancy practice who are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their friendly and collaborative team.

The Role
You will gain exposure to a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses and will be involved in:

Preparation of statutory accounts

Bookkeeping and work from incomplete records

Supporting with tax and compliance matters

Liaising directly with clients in a professional and approachable manner

Identifying process improvements and contributing ideas
-
Taking ownership of your workload and delivering high-quality work
This role would suit someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and enjoys seeing tasks through to completion.
The Ideal Candidate

Ideally 2+ years’ experience within an accountancy practice
-
AAT / ACA / ACCA studying, qualified, or QBE
-
Confident working with accounting software and HMRC processes
-
Strong communication skills and client-facing confidence
-
Proactive, organised and comfortable taking initiative
-
Able to work primarily office-based, with flexibility available
