The Role
As an Audit Manager, you will oversee a portfolio of clients, ensuring services are delivered efficiently and effectively. Your expertise will help clients achieve their goals while contributing to the firm’s growth.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Management:
- Plan, control, and review client work to ensure efficiency.
- Conduct pre-audit meetings, prepare time budgets, and review detailed planning memos.
- Supervise audit teams, review work, and monitor job profitability.
- Draft management letters, finalize accounts, and prepare fee schedules.
Team Leadership:
- Provide training, mentorship, and feedback to develop team members.
- Conduct appraisals and address day-to-day staffing needs.
- Promote collaboration and maintain a positive working environment.
Business Development:
- Identify opportunities for additional client services and referrals.
- Participate in tenders, presentations, and advisory projects.
- Encourage cross-team collaboration to deliver holistic client solutions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Fully qualified ACA/ACCA with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in external audit and general practice.
- Strong understanding of corporate tax and company work.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word, with experience in Sage, CaseWare, and tax software preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and a focus on client satisfaction.
- Commercial acumen and the ability to provide practical solutions to complex business challenges.
