Autograph Recruitment are working with a successful accountancy practice in Hereford to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, managing client work and taking ownership of accurate, timely bookkeeping and VAT.
The Role
You will manage bookkeeping for a varied client portfolio, including:
- Processing invoices and transactions through to trial balance
- Completing bank and control account reconciliations
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Resolving queries and discrepancies
- Liaising with clients on bookkeeping and VAT matters
- Maintaining accurate, well-organised records for accounts and tax work
- Working with cloud accounting software including Xero and QuickBooks
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
- Previous bookkeeping experience, ideally within practice
- A strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
- VAT experience
- Confidence using cloud accounting software
- Good client communication skills
- A proactive, organised approach and the ability to work independently
- AAT qualified, part-qualified or QBE candidates are all welcome.
