Client Adviser
Bath
We are working with a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice based in Bath. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Client Adviser to join their professional and supportive team.
As a Client Adviser, you will manage a varied portfolio of clients, overseeing their accounting, business services and tax requirements. You will play a key role in building strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to provide additional advice and services, and delivering a high-quality, proactive service.
You will be:
- Managing a varied portfolio of clients, overseeing the planning and delivery of accounts assignments and ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently and within budget.
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, management accounts, VAT returns and corporation tax computations, with a strong understanding of UK financial reporting requirements.
- Producing financial forecasts and management information, and taking the lead on specialist projects including valuations, accounting system reviews and cloud accounting conversions.
- Building strong, consultative client relationships, acting as a trusted point of contact and identifying opportunities to provide additional services and advice.
- Working closely with colleagues across accounts, tax, payroll, audit and administration to ensure all client requirements are identified and delivered.
- Supporting and developing junior members of the team, providing technical guidance while maintaining a high standard of client service and keeping your own technical knowledge up to date.
You will ideally be ACA or ACCA qualified and have at least 2–3 years' post-qualification experience gained within an accountancy practice or business services environment. You will have strong accounts preparation and financial reporting skills, excellent communication and client relationship skills, and the ability to manage your own workload effectively.
Experience with Xero and other cloud accounting systems would be advantageous, alongside a commercially aware and proactive approach.
