The opportunity
As Operations Manager, you will be an integral part of the business, incorporating both operational, financial, and developmental streams into the business.
The Operations Manager will ensure accountability, responsibility but most of all a ‘can do’ mentality to ensure the operational proficiency.
Responsibilities of the Operations Manager - Accommodation
- Being the first point of contact for managers
- Mentoring, guiding, and enabling your direct reports to manage their departments effectively, challenging the status quo and incorporating, developing, and strengthening operational procedures.
- Working to ensure the continuation of labour reviews, ensuring commercial mindset thus instilling continued financial success across the department
- Leading the team with a ‘people’ attitude, instilling a humanistic approach combined with positive enforcement when adhering to tight deadlines or varying tasks
- Working with the Senior Leadership Team on project lead initiatives, in line with budget and bringing key stakeholders into the project to ensure success
- Managing key metrics across your departments, liaising with departmental heads to gather such information, and having a rounded overview of costings, labour, and expenditure
- Lastly, enjoying the role – striving on managing varying tasks and watching the business grow with you supporting, guiding, and mentoring your direct reports to success
The ideal candidate
You will be an accomplished manager within the hospitality and / or leisure sector, preferably with experience of managing rooms/accommodation.
You will be highly motivated and a self-starter with a natural desire to get the best out of your teams whilst having a keen eye on the financials.
You will “think on your feet” and enjoy finding solutions as well as looking at the bigger picture and looking for ways to help grow the business further.
