An established and forward-thinking independent financial planning firm is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join their professional and collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to progress their career in financial services, working closely with highly qualified Financial Planners to deliver bespoke advice to a loyal client base.
Requirements:
- Certificate in Financial Planning (or equivalent); candidates must be willing to study towards a Level 6 qualification with a recognised professional body
- Ideally 5 GCSEs (Grade A–C/9–4), including Mathematics and English
- Strong IT skills and excellent telephone manner
- Highly organised with great attention to detail and ability to work under own initiative
- A genuine interest in developing within the financial planning profession
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth technical research and analysis to support Financial Planners in delivering client-focused advice
- Prepare and update client Cashflows for planning meetings and annual strategy reviews
- Translate meeting notes and planner instructions into tailored recommendations
- Gather and analyse client and provider data to inform advice strategies
- Generate clear and accurate Suitability Letters and Financial Planning Reports in line with client objectives
- Liaise with providers and third parties to obtain policy details and documentation
- Manage implementation of agreed recommendations, including fund switches, trades, and applications
- Ensure appropriate documentation (illustrations, Key Features, applications) is included with all reports
- Monitor and report on client portfolio cash positions and ISA utilisation
- Participate in investment committee discussions and contribute to portfolio analysis
- Keep up to date with regulatory and market developments through structured CPD
- Maintain strict adherence to internal compliance procedures and FCA requirements
