Project Planner
Location: Chepstow
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 DOE
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Planner to join a well-established and growing business operating within a fast-paced project-led environment.
This role is pivotal in supporting the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of projects across the business. Working closely with operational teams, project managers, and senior leadership, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are effectively scheduled, monitored, and supported through robust planning and business support processes.
Key Responsibilities for Project Planner:

Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and trackers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Coordinate project activities across multiple departments, ensuring clear communication and alignment of priorities.

Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and work with stakeholders to implement effective solutions.

Produce regular project reports, performance updates, and planning documentation for management review.

Support resource planning activities, ensuring labour, materials, and operational requirements are accurately forecasted.

Maintain project records, documentation, and administrative processes to support efficient project delivery.

Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting across ongoing projects.

Work closely with senior management to support continuous improvement initiatives and process development.

Coordinate meetings, action plans, and project communications with internal and external stakeholders.

Support compliance, quality, health & safety, and business management systems across project activities.
The Ideal Candidate:
-
Previous experience within a Project Planner, Project Coordinator, Business Support Manager, Operations Support, or similar role.

Experience working within engineering, construction, manufacturing, industrial, utilities, or project-led environments.

Strong project planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with experience using project planning software advantageous.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail.

Confident communicator with the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the business.

Experience producing reports, managing project documentation, and supporting operational planning activities.

Knowledge of project management principles and continuous improvement methodologies would be beneficial.

Proactive, highly organised, and capable of working independently within a fast-paced environment.
