Salary: circa £57,000 + excellent benefits

As they grow, they are looking for an accomplished Purchasing & Supply Chain professional to develop and implement their Supply Chain strategy and develop a best in class Purchasing & Supply chain function.
Responsibilities of Purchasing Manager:
Reporting to the Operations Director, this is a strategic role managing all aspects of purchasing and procurement, price negotiations and supplier terms, developing strategic relationships with key suppliers, establishing and maintaining supplier agreements. Working alongside the supply chain and inbound logistics operations to grow in line with business growth, ensuring all future demands for materials are met, to optimise purchasing spend and enhance efficiency and productivity.
The successful candidate will manage a growing team of 3, developing strategic purchasing skills across the team as well as developing best-in-class SRM processes and policies.
You will also drive standardisation across all purchase activities to reduce waste, improve quality and develop a global purchasing network.
The ideal candidate:
Will have a proven track record in a leadership role with significant experience within procurement in, preferably, an electronics / high-tech engineering components and tooling environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong commercial skills and proven experience of effective negotiation of purchase pricing, procurement contracts and long-term framework agreements delivering VFM contracts and agreements. You will have extensive knowledge of ERP systems and experience of implementation of such systems. You will also have a degree in an appropriate Engineering or Supply Chain discipline and be CIPS / MCIPS qualified.
