Client Manager/Qualified Accountant

About the Role:
We are recruiting a qualified accountant to join a successful, independent accountancy practice in the heart of Bristol. This role is offered on a full-time or part-time basis, initially as a 12-month maternity cover. A permanent opportunity may be considered for the right individual.
You will work closely with Managers and Partners to prepare statutory accounts for a varied and interesting client portfolio, ensuring consistently high standards of technical delivery and client service. This role would suit a confident, technically strong accountant who enjoys working with autonomy in a growing and forward-thinking firm.
You will be:
- Preparing statutory accounts under FRS 102 for a diverse portfolio of clients
- Working collaboratively with Managers to deliver accounts for Partner review
- Managing your workload independently while maintaining high-quality output
- Applying strong technical knowledge with minimal supervision
- Contributing positively to a growing firm with a proactive, “can-do” approach
Your responsibilities:
- Prepare statutory accounts for a wide range of clients in line with FRS 102
- Ensure work is delivered accurately, efficiently and to agreed deadlines
- Maintain strong client relationships through professional and approachable communication
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation within processes
- Uphold the firm’s commitment to exceptional client service
Requirements:
- ACA or ACCA qualified (minimum 2 years’ post-qualified experience)
- Proven experience within an accountancy practice environment
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, particularly FRS 102
- Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office; experience of Digita and/or Xero preferred
- Professional, approachable manner with a proactive and adaptable mindset
