Qualified Accountant – South West (Excellent hybrid offerede)
Salary: £40k – £60k DOE
Position: Full time – Permanent

We’re working with a modern, forward-thinking accountancy practice with clients across Devon, Cornwall, Bristol and South Wales. With several acquisitions underway and ambitious growth plans, they are now looking to bring in a talented, hands-on Qualified Accountant who can take responsibility for accounts production and become a key figure in the business.
You’ll work closely with the Managing Director with regular virtual collaboration and in-person meetings when required. For the right person, this could develop into a future leadership role – Including potential share options or an MD pathway.
What you’ll be doing
- Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts for a varied portfolio of SMEs and owner managed businesses
- Managing client relationships and attending on-site meetings occasionally across the South West
- Supporting with tax returns and (ideally) providing basic tax advisory guidance
- Contributing to the integration of newly acquired practices
- Driving quality and accuracy across all workstreams, ensuring high standards are consistently met
- Using Xero daily to manage client accounts (100% cloud-based)
What they’re looking for
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA)
- Someone who thrives in a hands-on, “doer” role
- Strong technical skills and the ability to review work confidently
- Experience preparing accounts within a UK practice environment
- A collaborative, positive approach - Lots of interaction with the Director and wider team
- Someone based in South Wales, Bristol, Devon or Cornwall (to enable occasional client visits)
- Bonus: Experience with tax advisory (not essential)
