A successful growing accountancy practice are currently looking for a Senior Bookkeeper to join their bookkeeping team within their Taunton office.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the bookkeeping processes for a designated client portfolio.
- Prepare financial reports, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Supervise and train junior bookkeeping staff.
- Preparing and submitting VAT Returns
- Ensure adherence to accounting principles and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting software and technologies.
Qualifications and experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Proven experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero). Cloud knowledge is a bonus.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
